Yingying is passionate about delivering quality care and service to her clients. One of the reasons why she became a social worker was her passion for improving care in communities. Growing up in China, Yingying observed how much is needed to improve social service there. She became inspired to take internships in India and Hongkong working with children and youth. This experience cemented her desire to pursue her Master degree of Social Work in U.S.
As an immigrant, Yingying recognizes the unique experience individuals face in life. She hopes to provide support to anyone who is going through a confusing phase or hardship. Yingying specializes in working with young adults, adults and older adults dealing with complex trauma, family dynamics, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, stress, phase-of-life changes, grief, and loss, as well as children with ADHD and autism. Yingying loves to apply client-centered therapy to help clients feel comfortable sharing his or her feelings. Yingying also likes to use a strength-based approach to help clients to improve personal growth and development.
Yingying believes it is very important to build trust in the relationship with clients. Her goal is to help clients to eliminate or mitigate feelings of distress, increase self-esteem and openness to experience and enhance the client’s understanding of him or herself.
